Cosmic Comics! Wins The Greatest Costume Contest Ever!

 The winners of the 2013 Halloween Comicfest Costume Contest have been announced!

Cosmic Comics had multiple winners including the ADULT GRAND PRIZE WINNER of The Greatest Costume Contest Ever! Christopher who came as Finn from Adventure Time won a $500 shopping spree at Cosmic Comics!  Congratulations to Christopher and all the winners!

A quick interview with Chris after winning the Adult Grand Prize ($500 shopping spree to spend at Cosmic Comics!).

Q: How did you hear about Halloween ComicFest?

A: As a customer at Cosmic before the event, after my brother moved in and we got back into comics, we saw the flyer from the store and decided to go!

Q: Was this your first year doing The Greatest Costume Contest Ever! ?

A: “Yes, and I wasn’t thinking  I was going to win.  I just wanted to dress up and be happy with my costume, and I totally was.”

Q: What costume won the contest?

A: Finn the Human, from Adventure Time.

Q: What was your first thought after hearing that you won?

A: “I honestly didn’t think I was going to win.”

Q: Halloween ComicFest had a hard time contacting you, are you relieved we could contact you?

A: “It’s been the highlight of my day!”

Q: What are you going to do with the $500 you won?

A: “Spend it at Cosmic Comics!, of course.”

Q: Any special thanks you’d like to give out?

A: “Thanks to comics everywhere, and Cosmic Comics! for sure.”

Q: How much did your costume cost to put together?

A: The total cost was less than $50: A Backpack ordered online, and the Finn hat from the DVD Combo Pack.

Q: How long did it take you to put the costume together?

A:”I ordered the backpack from the week before” and only needed to wait for it to arrive.

Q: Any costume ideas for next year?

A: “Finn the Human as Jack Skellington.”

The best advice from our surprise winner?  “Don’t think about winning, and you’ll probably end up winning.  It’s really all about having fun.”  A big congratulations to our other Cosmic Comics! winners – Stacey in the TV/Movie Category  and Anna in the Kids TV/Movie Category!  Way to go guys – and Thanks to everyone who put in the time to vote for your favorites!
