What is this book about?
He-Man & the Masters of the Universe and the Thundercats together in one book. Mumm-Ra invades Eternia. Bad guys team up. Good guys team up. Awesomeness ensues.
Why do you like this book?
The team-up I played out with my toys hundreds of times as a kid is now in book form!
The writing is amazing. For the first two issues, after I finished reading them I had to immediately go back and read the issue again. The final page reveal gives you a completely different take on the issue. For a six issue mini-series, the pacing is great for character introductions and story development.
The art is fantastic. Especially the Mumm-Ra and Skeletor panels. Just the right blend of cartoon, toy, and comic feel.
Who should be reading this book?
Every child of the ’80s for the nostalgia factor alone. A must read for fans of Masters of the Universe and/or Thundercats. Beyond that, anyone looking for an action packed series with well developed characters.
Also, you do not have to be an expert on the history of Masters of the Universe or Thundercats to enjoy this book. Having a basic knowledge of who they are helps. However, this is a great pick up and go series for any reader.
