Marvel’s Fear Itself Heroclix Tournament Month 6

Fear Itself Month 6

A full day of HeroClix at Cosmic Comics caps off the Fear Itself Heroclix OP Series with not one, but two Colossal Serpent Prizes being handed out.

Players will have multiple ways to play for and win the Colossal Serpent. There will be two mini-qualifiers, one meta themed and one comic themed, where players can play their way into the single-elimination Top 8 to battle it out for one of the Colossal Serpents. For those players who don’t make it into the Top 8, there will be an every man for himself Battle Royal where the last man standing will walk away with the second Colossal Serpent.

The day is set up to be work schedule friendly. The Qualifiers and Battle Royal are all inclusive mini-tournaments with their own prizing. If you can only make it out for part of the day, you can still participate and walk away with swag in hand.

Prizes

The winner of the Top 8 will receive a Serpent Colossal LE.
The winner of the Battle Royal will receive a Serpent Colossal LE.
The winners of each Qualifier will receive a full set of Fear Itself LEs.
Prizes for placement in the Top 8.
Prizes for placement in each Qualifier.
Prizes for achievements in the Battle Royal.
Nul & Angrir’s Hammer participation prizes for everyone who attends.
Multiple prizes to be swaged out throughout the day.

 

Times

9am – Doors Open
9am – 10am – Registration for Qualifier 1
10am – Round 1 pairings for Q1 get posted
1pm – 2pm – Registration for Qualifier 2
2pm – Round 1 pairings for Q2 get posted
5pm – 6pm – Registration for Battle Royal
6pm – Top 8 & Battle Royal pairings get posted

Qualifiers General

Each Qualifier will be three rounds.
The Top 3 from each Qualifier will earn a spot in the Top 8.
The two players who have the best record across both Qualifiers will earn a spot in the Top 8.
Each Qualifier will have an entry fee of 1 Fear Itself booster at a flat $10.

Qualifier 2

500pt Modern Age
Players must build a Named Theme Team
ATAs are allowed
No Tactics (except the Theme Team mechanic)
No Team Bases
No Vehicles

Top 8 Single-Elimination

400pt Modern Age Fear Itself Floor
The Mighty & The Worthy are the only ATAs allowed
No Tactics

 

Battle Royal

Entry Fee of 1 Fear Itself Heroclix booster at a flat $10.
Players will draft the boosters and use all 5 figures drafted as their team.
Players will play multi-player games (combining maps when there are two players remaining on a map) until there is a last man standing.
