At our 2018 Free Comic Book Day event on May 5th we gave away over 10,000 comic books of over 40 different 2018 Free Comic Book Day titles. We had FLASH sales, local artists doing free sketches, the superheroes from Critical Care Comics providing photo ops and more. Our hourly raffles and the MEGA RAFFLE for The New Mutants #87 (Cable’s first comic book appearance) were a big hit.

We would like to thank everyone who came out and made the 2018 Free Comic Book Day celebration at Cosmic Comics so much fun! The line outside before we opened set the stage for the rest of the day as we stayed busy until the doors closed. Congratulations to all of our prize winners throughout the day and especially to the Mega Raffle winner of The New Mutants #87.

We’d like to thank the gang from Critical Care Comics for coming out and helping the kids (and kids at heart) have a great time. If you’re not familiar with them, please check them out. They’re a Las Vegas based 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that delivers donated comic books to sick kids in hospitals while dressed as superheroes. We’re proud to be one of their official donation drop-off locations for your new and gently used comics for them to deliver to sick kids.

We’d also like to thank James Stone, Cillian Cubstead, Greg Boucher, and Walid Atshe for providing the free sketches to those in attendance.

Once again, thank you all for coming out and we hope that everyone had a great time! FCBD 2018 was everything we hoped it would be and more. We hope you feel the same.
