FCBD2014 at Cosmic Comics Has Something for Everyone!

Free Comic Book Day 2014 (FCBD2014 for short) at Cosmic Comics is shaping up to be our best Free Comic Book Day in Las Vegas yet! In addition to the thousands of FREE comics we’ll be giving away and our Free Comic Book Day 2014 sales, Grouchy John’s Coffee will be in front of our shop From 9 AM until 12 NOON serving up yummy pastry treats and the best coffee in Las Vegas for all of our early bird FCBD2014 guests. Inside the shop from 9AM to 10AM early bird shoppers will get a special gift with their purchase AND a FREE MEGA RAFFLE TICKET for a chance to win The Amazing Spider-Man #9 “The Man Called Electro” (read this post to learn more about our MEGA RAFFLE).

Then, starting at 10AM, there will be hourly raffles for $50 Silver Age Grab Bags. That’s right, every hour on the hour starting at 10AM you could win a grab bag that will contain at least $50 in silver age comics and best of all, you get a ticket just for attending the event! Also starting at 10AM a clown from Celebrate Kids will be on hand until 4PM providing FREE face painting and balloon animals for all our FCBD2014 child guests. We’ll also have local artists Dan Blodgett (Gett Comics) & Cillain Cubstead (Valkyrie Komics) of the Artist’s Comic Collective (ACC) on hand from 10AM until 4PM to provide FREE sketches for all of our FCBD2014 attendees.

From 1PM until 5PM, The Spot To Eat Food Truck will be in the Cosmic Comics parking lot serving handmade gourmet burgers & chicken sandwiches, Korean BBQ tacos, bacon wrapped hot dogs, dollar tacos, loaded fries, and more! Then starting at 5PM we’ll hold our Annual Free Comic Book Day Costume Contest with over $150 worth of prizes for adult and kids categories! Not only do our costumed guests get a chance to win prize packs for first and second place in each category, everyone in costume will also get a FREE MEGA RAFFLE ticket to The Amazing Spider-Man #9 “The Man Called Electro” MEGA RAFFLE! Finally, at 6PM, we’ll hold our FCBD2014 MEGA RAFFLE where one lucky winner will receive The Amazing Spider-Man #9 “The Man Called Electro” which features the main villain from Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 from Sony Pictures: Electro! 

We’ll also have the lovely Casey Jade from Casey Jade Photography on hand from 10AM to 6PM to capture all of the FCBD2014 fun and we’ll post the photos to our website and our Facebook for you to download and share with your loved ones. Speaking of photos, be sure to enter the Official Free Comic Book Day Photo Sharing Contest. Just share your Free Comic Book Day experience on the Official Free Comic Book Day Facebook page and Twitter page to be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to our comic shop!
