Free Comic Book Day 2013

First and foremost, thank you to each and every person who helped make Free Comic Book Day 2012 such a huge success here at Cosmic Comics in Las Vegas. Next we’d like to thank each and every one of you reading this right now who will make Free Comic Book Day 2013 at Cosmic Comics in Las Vegas an even bigger success.

Cosmic Comics in Las Vegas is proud to be a part of this international event to increase literacy and comic book interest across the globe. Free Comic Book Day is the single largest day for comic books all year and Cosmic Comics will be giving away thousands of comic books that day for FREE. Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) hasn’t stopped growing in size since its inception 12 years ago and this year it will be even bigger with three of the most highly anticipated comic book based films to be released, Iron Man 3 (May 3rd), Man of Steel (June 14), and The Wolverine (July 26).

Last year in celebration of Free Comic Book Day 2012 and the release of  Marvel’s The Avengers movie we made headlines when we gave away Avengers #1 from 1963 to one lucky raffle winner. This year we’re sure to do it again as we celebrate Free Comic Book Day 2013 and the release of Marvel’s Iron Man 3 by GIVING AWAY Iron Man #1 from 1968 AND Tales of Suspense #50 from 1964 (The Mandarin’s first appearance) in addition to the thousands of FREE comics that will be given away over the course of Free Comic Book Day 2013 at Cosmic Comics in Las Vegas this May 4th, 2013!

So how do you win? Same as last year. The easiest way to win Iron Man #1 from 1968 and/or Tales of Suspense #50 from 1964 is to show up to our Free Comic Book Day 2013 celebration in costume to get a FREE entry. The second way is to shop! For every $30 dollars (before tax) spent at Cosmic Comics in Las Vegas on Free Comic Book Day 2013 you will get one (1) entry into the Iron Man #1 from 1968 and Tales of Suspense #50 Give-Away! The only other way is to keep a look out for various contests we’ll run via our social media outlets like Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, etc. with the winning prize being one (1) entry into the Iron Man #1 from 1968 and Tales of Suspense #50 Give-Away. Just like last year, you must be present at the time of the raffle to win. We’ll release more details and the official contest rules soon so check our website often.

We’re having a massive sale with everything, EXCEPT new comics, on sale from 20% to as much as 80% off!!! Every hour there will be a $50 Silver Age Grab Bag Raffle and all you have to do to enter is show up (that’s over $500 of prizes you could win just for stopping by on Free Comic Book Day 2013)! There will also be HeroClix demos for anyone who wants to learn to play and all participants will get a FREE HeroClix figure while supplies last (more details on that in the coming days).

In addition to all of that, we will also have local artists from ONWARD! Comics, The 80s Kids, and Dead Girls and Robots providing FREE sketches!
