Star Wars Blood Ties #1 Review
Boba Fett is Dead
I love Star Wars and really, who doesn’t? Star Trek fans would argue that they don’t and say the “knight saving the princess storyline is old as time” and yada yada yada, but we all know they’re lying to themselves and watch it privately at night in their Tauntaun sleeping bag (which I do in fact own myself).
In Star Wars: Blood Ties #1 indeed it does appear tha “Boba Fett is Dead”. Hunted down by a group comprised of unlikely allies lies Fett’s smoking corpse. The story has an unknown protagonist hunting down everyone who was a part of the assassination in search of who ordered the hit. It’s full of characters I’m unfamiliar with in the Star Wars Universe, but it doesn’t matter, the story is solid and the art by Chris Scalf is amazing. The art is like brilliant water colors on a tan Tatooine canvas. There’s some really dark action sequences involving torture and even a bad ass Sparta kick makes an appearance!

Yeah, and so is a bunch of people traveling around in a ship exploring strange, new places. Ever heard of the Oddessey? It’s a really, really old story. Even older than stories of knights. That’s pretty much what Star Trek is.
