Before Watchmen Wrap Up
The next chapter of Before Watchmen: Minutemen is released this week with Before Watchmen: Minutemen #3. We have already talked about how well written the Minutemen portion of Before Watchmen has been. If you are still on the fence about reading the Before Watchmen Mini-series, then you can pick up the first 5 issues for 5 bucks and give them a try. Minutemen, Silk Spectre, Comedian, Nite Owl and Ozymndias are all good reads. You will not be disappointed.
Geoff Johns impressive New 52 Stories!
Geoff Johns continues to do amazing things with the merman from the Justice League. In all honesty Johns as a unique skill of making lesser known characters evolve into your new favorite. He did it for Green Lantern and now he is doing it with Aquaman. You can also see Aquaman’s exploits in the new Justice League #12 this week too.
Speaking of great Green Lantern story lines Green Lantern Annul #1 is new this week. This will start the Rise of the Third Army. If you we’re late to other story lines like the Sinstro Corp Wars or Blackest Knight this is where you want to start reading for the future of Hal Jordan, Sinestro and the rest of the Corp.
Valiant is Back
Here at Cosmic Comics we like to support all forms of comic book art. Valiant Comics has come back with 4 titles from the past. X-O Manowar is one of the best. Check it out. Who wouldn’t want a super advanced piece of armor to seek revenge on the people who killed your family.
Bendis and Oemning Return to Powers
Powers returns after a little break with the creators working on the new FX Powers TV show. Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oemning are back at it again. Powers has been one of the strongest creator owned titles for years. If you like detective stories and super heroes you’ll love powers
