COSMIC COMICS CELEBRATES

COSMIC COMICS!  is Giving-Away an Avengers #1 from 1963

Las Vegas, NV, May 5, 2012:  Cosmic Comics! will be holding a day long celebration for Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) on Saturday May 5, 2012 from 10am to 8pm. An original Avengers #1 from September 1963 will be Given-Away to one lucky winner at 6pm. A Near Mint 9.6 graded copy of Avengers #1 recently sold at auction for 250 Thousand Dollars! Cosmic Comics! will have a selection of thousands of Free Comic Books from dozens of publishers for anyone in attendance. Cosmic Comics! will have free donuts and pizza throughout the day, a photographer from noon to 6pm with a special Cosmic photo booth and a store-wide sale. Anyone in costume will receive a raffle ticket for prize drawings every hour that total well over 1,000 Dollars. “The Avengers” Movie items will also be given-away.

Free Comic Book Day takes place yearly on the first Saturday in May. Participating comic book specialty shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely free to those in attendance. FCBD was established in 2002 with the goal of bringing new readers into comic book stores and introduce them to the joys of reading comics.

“The Avengers” movie is being released by Marvel Studios the day before FCBD on May 4, 2012. “Marvel’s the Avengers” is based on the ever popular Marvel comic book series the “Avengers” co-created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and first published in 1963.
