Description
Synopsis for “I Unleashed Shagg Upon the World!”
An explorer pulls a switch in some ruins uncovered by a recent sandstorm which brings the sphinx to life. It turns out that the sphinx is actually a robot warrior placed upon Earth to wait for the right moment to strike. He scoops up the hapless human and deposits him inside the mechanism, then swims (?) to Paris and destroys the Eiffel Tower. Next, Shagg swims to New York City and lays waste to it. During the carnage, Shagg is describing the invasion plans to the captive man when he mentions his fellow warriors freeing him from his centuries long slumber. The man interrupts with the revelation that his fellow warriors did not pull the switch, he did. Shagg is enraged, because he knows he cannot defeat an entire world armed with nuclear weapons by himself, and he uses cosmo-gamma electro-magnetic waves to undo all the damage he’s done and make people forget about the events of the last few hours so he can go back into stealth mode. When the explorer regains consciousness lying next to the sphinx, he has no idea what has occurred until he reads his notebook he wrote while a captive of the sphinx. He hopes the record of events produced in his notebook are merely the result of a moment of madness.
