Synopsis for “The Genie with the Light Brown Hair!”

A transient with a mean-spirited character finds a genie in a bottle and releases him in order to obtain three selfish wishes of youth, good looks, and wealth. The genie tells him that he is not grateful to be released from the bottle and has no intention of granting three wishes so asks to be ordered back into the bottle. The man blackmails the genie with the threat of never sending him back unless he gets his wishes, and so the genie complies. The man still won’t send the genie back and humiliates him until growing weary at last and orders the genie back into the bottle. The genie asks if he may take one of the humans into the bottle because he gets lonely and the man agrees, not suspecting that the genie would select him.
