Description
Synopsis for “Two-Gun Kid”
While riding on the range, the Two-Gun Kid sees some suspicious riders gaining on a stage coach and decides to ride down and lend them a hand. He tips the coach driver off to the fact that he is being followed. When the bandits attack Two-Gun Kid hops on board the coach and fends them off with his guns. Seeking only to wound the attackers, the Kid is a shocked when one of his shots is off and kills one of the attackers. When the rest of the attackers flee the scene, the coach stops and the Kid is surprised to find that there is only a passenger — a Mexican woman — on board the coach and no valuables. The woman tells them she recognizes the attackers from her home town of Ciudad Rail but tells him that she does not know why they attack her.
Left alone, the Two-Gun Kid begins to worry if his shooting skill is being hampered by poor eyesight. Spotting a bird in the sky he tries to shoot it but misses and realizes that there is something wrong with his guns. Riding into town he goes to the local gunsmith to have his guns examined. The gun dealer tells the Kid that his guns are the problem, that the rifling has been run smooth and needs to be repaired. The Kid is then shown guns he can use while he is waiting for his old ones to be repaired. He initially decides to stick with his usual .45 caliber, but the gunsmith then shows him a pair of gold plated .44 Colt Dragoons that were recently sold to him. Falling in love instantly, the Two-Gun Kid decides to buy the guns outright and is impressed by how well they shoot.
Later that night while setting up camp, Two-Gun Kid is visited by a Mexican man who introduces himself as the brother of the woman he saved earlier that day. He offers to buy the guns from the Kid, but Two-Gun initially refuses. The man tries to explain that the guns are far more valuable than anyone thinks when suddenly the bandits attack. The Kid pulls the guns and slays all the attackers. In the aftermath of the battle, his companion shows the Kid why the guns are so sought after: Within a secret compartment in one of the gun handles is a map to the Ibanez gold mine. Thanking the Kid for defending his family fortune, the man allows him to keep the Dragoons as a gift.
