Wolverine #310 Sabertooth Reborn Review
“Chapter One: Out of the Darkness”
Oh it’s good to be back reading ol’ Wolverine again. Here’s some history Wolverine #310 want’s you to know. Wolverine and Sabertooth aren’t friends. Wolverine finally defeats and kills Sabertooth with a katana in Wolverine Vol. 3 #55. The end; or is it? In this issue, while Wolverine is saving the Cloak from the top of the Empire State Building (normal day right?), he learns that Sabertooth has captured Dagger. Which isn’t possible. To make things worse, apparently Dagger’s life was held ransom for the release of Romulus from the darkness dimension. Which is bad. Romulus and Wolvie have an epic battle inside a log cabin, and a strangely familiar hero comes to Wolverine’s aid. What Wolverine is looking for is at the one place he left burnt to the ground, Canada. I’m joking of course, just “The Weapon X Facility” in Canada. Everyone knows Canada can’t burn with all the rain and snow.
The Wolverine books are fantastic. I may be a little biased because I’m a huge fan of ol’ blade hands, but Jeph Loeb has Wolverine‘s essence and attitude down to a “T”, and the art by Simone Bianchi is simply amazing. It’s really a wonder why I don’t have this book as a regular read…
This is the beginning of the “Sabertooth Reborn” storyline, and when Wolverine checks Sabertooth’s burial sight, Sabertooth’s head and decapetated body are still there…smelly…in pieces. Where is this so called Sabertooth? Check out this book at Cosmic Comics! to #getyourfix!
