What is this book about?
Snotgirl spotlights on Lottie Person, a twenty six year old well followed fashion blogger. However, Lottie happens to be pretty shy and has severe allergies.
Lottie is at the coffee shop waiting for her half-lat cold brew with non fat almond milk and one pump of lavender syrup. Not paying attention, because she happens to be stalking her ex-boyfriend on social media, she grabs the same cup as another young lady, Caroline. Caroline immediately recognizes Lottie from her blog and instantly wants to be friends. Caroline has to leave but gives Lottie her number.
Lottie was given the opportunity at her next doctor’s appointment for a trial allergy medication. Eager for a change, she decided to go for it. Caroline and Lottie have last minute plans. Instead of dancing, they head to the bar. But mixing alcohol and medicine can have a negative turnout!
Why do you like this book?
I really enjoy the bright colors. It is a very cutesy style. The female characters are adorable, bright eyed with colored hair. I appreciate the layout of the writing on the pages. The cover is very attractive and intriguing. At the end of the first issue I was sad it was done and I love when I can find that in a comic. I found it easy to follow and a real fun read. I love comics with a good cliffhanger.
Who should be reading this book?
Teens to young adults should definitely be reading this book. Fans of the Scott Pilgram series (same writer). Anyone with chronic/extreme allergies. Someone who enjoys a change from the usual superhero book.
