“Demon In The Armor” Part 1

This 4 part miniseries by Nathan Edmondson and Matteo Baffagni has your favorite super suit wearing playboy battling against his strongest enemy yet, his own suit. No, not his Armani suit, his iron suit…whatever forget about it.

ultimate comics iron man, tony stark, marvel comics, cosmic comicsHonestly I wasn’t too excited to read this book, at all. I flipped through the pages and nothing seemed too awesome or intriguing, except for the fact that Stark’s new Iron Man garb looked strange and, foreign. Let me tell you though, the book totally came out of left field. It sits in waiting, telling you a sob “then and now” story about love and life lost, blah, blah, blah, then wham! Tony Stark outsmarted? To be continued, roll credits for part one. Wham! was credited to the climax at the end, not Iron Man getting hit by a train, maybe I should have kept that part a secret, oh well.

Ultimate Comics Iron Man issue 1 is of course a must buy for lovers of the Iron…Manness…if you can let go of the weird armor, which I can’t. Nathan Edmondson does a sturdy job for his first time dealing with Stark. Four issues is a good run, and issue one is a strong start.
